Holiday Cheer

Our 3 year old is making this Christmas season even more fun.

She is so excited for Santa and presents and decorating and baking

and.......and.....and......

Our 1 year old has no clue what she is doing, but just loves 

following her big Sis in all that she does.

I love the holiday season and am excited but sad to see it here.

Knowing that I was going to have some great new views this weekend, I delayed my weekly postcard.  

I ran my 2nd half marathon of 2017 and was reminded of my love for running.  The conditions were wet and a bit chilly, but my support crew was there the whole way (in pjs and rain boots) cheering me on.

Their love gives me the strength to move mountains.  

(I will stick with half marathons though.)

Color Everywhere

Love this time of year. The weather isn't  scorching yet, flowers are starting to bloom, grass is still green.

EGG-SPECIALLY BUSY

Ever have one of "THOSE" weeks?

You think you have your chickens in a row, 

when really, even the chickens think you have gone crazy!

WHO'S COUNTING?

Delainee had help collecting her eggs.  

And she made sure that grandpa counted them as they were gathered.

She loves to spend time with her "Papa!"

Each one of our ladies blessed us with an egg today. Aren't they gorgeous?!

Naughty Mommy

We got the funnest package in the mail yesterday!  

Grandma sent us "chicken stuff"!

Is this not the cutest tea towel?!  I will be framing it in barn wood and hanging it in our kitchen.  

Then I can look at it while I make the soup and use the napkins to wipe up our 2 little messy missies.

Thank you, Grandma!

I have to share the scolding that I received yesterday.  

It has been cold, so while Tildy2 (Delainee) was giving the ladies their lunch 

time snack, I collected the eggs.  

Well, boy was that WRONG!!  

I was scolded for the next 5 minutes on how I was "naughty" and on 

how that was her job, "I get the eggs."

Lets just say, my egg collecting days are done.

We are getting 4 eggs a day and they are gorgeous!!

GRANDMA'S EGG-CELLENT IDEA

My mom (aka Grandma) has been threatening my husband and exciting me for 
2 years with the idea of getting our daughter 
chickens for her 3rd birthday.  

Guess who turns 3 this year?! (I'm in denial!!)

Who doesn't wear a princess dress and cowgirl boots when collecting eggs?!

Sooooo.........
Grandma and Grandpa visited over Easter and guess what we did?

We have 2 very excited little girls. 

(And 2 very excited "slightly older" girls. aka Me and Grandma.)

I have decided to blog about our experience in order to share our new adventure, as well as, leave a place for the girls to go back when they are older and realize just how crazy, I mean fun,  their grandma and mom were.  So please follow along on our adventure and don't be shy in helping us along the way!
